Models Own Utopia snowflakes

Today I had a bit of a glitter moment and really fancied giving my new 'Snowflakes' (NP145) polish from Models Own a try! For the base colour I chose another new Models Own purchase 'Utopia' (NP064)  which is a really lovely soft neutral colour, with the slightest purple hint to it.  Here's the finished result

 The Snowflakes glitter really adds definition to the look, finishing it off perfectly! The two bottled colours are shown here:

Daisy nails

Today I was desperate to try out a new design which I have had on my mind for a while. Inspired by the film 'The Great Gatsby' and my recent purchase of my necklace from Accessorize, I felt a Daisy nails would look beautiful, especially while the weather in the UK is still so summery!

So after many attempts of drawing on tiny petals with my nail art pen, I tried something slightly different. Instead of individual petals I used the white nail art pen to create tiny lines around each yellow centre. To my surprise (and my relief!) it worked incredibly well, creating a very three dimensional effect, making the flowers much more realistic. Here is the finished product :

I used my nail art pen from Primark in order to achieve this look, but any thin brush or nail art pen would work perfectly for this easy but very pretty design! Any black and yellow would work just as well.
